Together with WCJCC partners, unique training
seminars in Israel are offered to the senior leadership of JCCs. Recent
seminars brought to Israel the leadership of JCCs from Latin America, France,
Mexico and the Former Soviet Union.
Most of these seminars were implemented in close partnership with JAFI. |

The culmination of the Long Island, NY- French Hill Jerusalem and Lamnrtoh Hakol, Buenos Aires Tri Center project took place during a week long two track seminar for the 27 teens who participated in the program and their parents. A recent post-program survey of participants from all three countries demonstrates that the Tri-Center model is continuing to have a very positive impact on the Jewish identities and actions of participants after formal project activities ended.Youth professionals and the Executive Directors from all three countries reported that they continued to remain in close contacts with each other. The youth director from Buenos Aires reported that "I have personally built up a very strong relationship, both personal and professional, with both coordinators: Yael and Kelly. We stay in touch quite often and share experiences of projects and personal life matters."

Looking at the accomplishments, challenges and future prospects of "Israel at 60" provided a unique opportunity for members of the senior board of CDI Mexico, to reexamine their own Jewish identity, their commitment to Jewish life in Mexico and to the prosperity of Israel and the Jewish people. The senior board- consejo- of CDI came together to Israel for the first time on a semianr co sponsored with UJA Federation of New York.

June 22-July 24, MWU Training Seminar in Israel
Maccabi World Movement brought to Israel 20 professionals from various JCCs/clubs from Latin America. The participants attended the WCJCS conference in Jerusalem and also spent time with the Jewish Agency for Israel, Beit Hatfutzot and Maccabi leaders. The participants dedicated a day to visiting community centers in the Tel Aviv area. The group was hosted by Nitzan Aviv in Ramat Hasharon and by Pini Goldberg in Ramat Gan.
October 26 - November 5, 2006 CDI Mexico Training Seminar in Israel.
Seventeen leaders from CDI Mexico, led by the President of the Executive Committee, Dani Shor, participated in a ten-day training seminar in Israel aimed at reaffirming the vision and mission of CDI, reconnecting with Israel and its people and acquiring leadership skills.
The project was made possible thanks to a generous grant from the Alfred J. Lippman Foundation of UJA Federation of New York and additional funds from WCJCC and CDI. |

An impressive delegation of 12 executive directors of JCCs from
Argentina, Guatemala, Uruguay, Mexico, Venezuela and Bolivia together with the
executive directors of CLAM and FACCMA attended an 11 day seminar in Israel,
May 9-19.
